Description

Bioelectrodes and methods of making and use for detection, stimulation, and recording of electrical, chemical, and ionic interactions between a polymer film electrode and various biologic and chemical targets.

Applications

Implantable in tissue for detection, stimulation, and recording of electrical, chemical and ionic interactions between a polymer film electrode and various biologic and chemical targets. Exemplary applications include but are not limited to cardiac cells, neural cells, muscle cells, stem cells, stromal cells, hematopoietic cells and combinations thereof.

Advantages

The bioelectrodes are biocompatible, resist biodegradation, exhibit low electrical impedance and provide long-term chemical and electrical stability under in vivo conditions.
