Irene Abrams is the senior vice president of research innovation at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she leads the Technology & Innovation Development Office (TIDO) and serves as the managing director of the Therapeutic & Medical Device Accelerator. In this capacity, she oversees the commercialization of cutting-edge discoveries developed by the hospital’s researchers and clinicians. Abrams serves as the chair of the AUTM Board of Directors and has previously held prominent technology transfer and innovation roles at Partners Healthcare Innovation, Brandeis University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and MIT.

Frank Fekete is a managing director at Centerview Partners.

Daniel Goetzel led corporate partnership initiatives at Columbia University, where he also recently directed a multimillion dollar cybersecurity startup accelerator in collaboration with the New York City Economic Development Corporation. His prior academic leadership roles include serving as the inaugural director of innovation and corporate relations at Johns Hopkins University. Earlier in his career, Goetzel held senior advisory positions working for a governor, a United States senator, and a presidential candidate. He earned his master of public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and his bachelor’s degree from Emory University.

Jo Ann Grainger is an advancement services consultant and former Associate Vice President, Advancement Services with Georgetown University.

Daniel Lenihan is retired from a forty-year career as an international finance, investment and trade attorney based in New York and Washington, D.C. Currently he advises and invests in emerging growth companies, particularly in the medical technology sector. Mr. Lenihan served two terms on Georgetown’s Board of Regents, where he chaired the Committee on Medical Center Affairs. He also served on the Board of the Georgetown Wall Street Alliance. He is a graduate of Georgetown and the University of Virginia School of Law.

Ian McClure serves as the vice president for innovation at UK HealthCare and the associate vice president for research, innovation, and economic impact at the University of Kentucky. As the executive director of UK Innovate, he manages multiple units dedicated to intellectual property, technology commercialization, and expanding industry partnerships, recently leading the university’s comprehensive artificial intelligence strategy. McClure chaired the AUTM board from 2022-2023 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Center for American Entrepreneurship since 2024.

Lydia McClure serves as the chief executive officer and board chair of Research Bridge Partners, an organization dedicated to bridging midcontinent innovators with commercialization and investment opportunities.

Brad Murray is the founder and chief executive officer of Delve Bio, an infectious disease diagnostics company. Before founding Delve Bio, he served as a senior associate at Xontogeny, where he focused on seed and Series A investments across the life sciences sector. His background merges computational expertise with therapeutic development, having served as a computational biologist at Intellia Therapeutics and a computational associate at the Broad Institute. Murray has a strong foundation in both science and business, holding a bachelor of science in biology and economics from Georgetown University and an MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from Boston College.

Andrew M. Ray is a partner at Morgan Lewis, where he brings extensive transactional experience representing public and private companies, financial sponsors, and investors in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financings, and growth equity transactions. Recognized as a leader in corporate and technology law, his extensive track record includes leading the legal team that represented Oculus VR in its $2 billion sale to Facebook. Ray writes and speaks frequently on topics such as corporate finance, private equity, and corporate governance. He is an alumnus of Georgetown University, where he earned his bachelor of arts degree, and he also holds a master of arts and a Juris Doctor from Duke University.

Kiran Reddy is a senior managing director in the Blackstone Life Sciences group. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2020, he was the President, CEO, and co-founder of Praxis Precision Medicines, and held leadership roles in corporate development and strategy at Biogen and Third Rock Ventures. Reddy holds both an MD and MBA from Georgetown University. He completed his medical internship and neurology residency at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital, and is a former Howard Hughes science fellow with numerous peer-reviewed publications in neuroimmunology and neurodegenerative diseases.

Scott T. Shepherd is a scientific engagement manager for East North America at Johnson & Johnson. He leads strategies to identify, engage, and support pre-spinout and early-stage life science companies aligned with J&J’s innovation priorities. His work focuses on leveraging external programs and strategic partnerships to advance emerging solutions across oncology, immunology, neuroscience, cardiopulmonary disease, and other priority areas.
