Georgetown Molecular Biologist's Work Mentioned in the Economist Magazine
Georgetown University molecular biologist Dr. Sivanesan Dakshanamurthy was mentioned on the August 11-17 print edition of The Economist magazine for devising a method on repurposing medicines by identifying drug structures that match structures of human proteins through a computer. This method has the potential to enable certain existing drugs to treat other diseases.
