Material Transfer Agreement (MTA)

A Material Transfer Agreement is needed when materials are transferred into or out of Georgetown. This agreement ensures that the investigator’s freedom to perform research, publish data, and exert rights to ownership is not limited. The MTA provisions should not conflict with the academic missions of Georgetown or create unnecessary risk for the institution.
If you have received an MTA from a company or other institution, please forward the document to the Office for review and signature.

Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA)

Confidential Disclosure Agreements are needed to protect the intellectual property rights of the Inventors. Before disclosing confidential information to parties outside of Georgetown, contact the Office. The Office will draft a CDA and obtain the appropriate signature. If you have received a CDA from a company or other institution, please forward the document to the Office for review and signature.
