“Accessing Resources to Launch Your Start-up”

It is common to find innovators among the population of students and faculty in a university environment. Innovators are individuals, or groups of individuals, that develop new technologies or ideas that could be the basis for a new product or service. Some of the first challenges for these innovators that want to pursue entrepreneurship are learning the process for moving their innovation into a start-up company and accessing the resources and capital needed to do so effectively. Fortunately, there are many resources available for innovators interested in pursuing a start-up company. This talk will provide an overview of the resources available at TEDCO and other resources available to innovators and entrepreneurs. It will also talk about the steps innovators should take to move from an idea to a start-up and how to get ready for an investment. Ideally, this will be an interactive session; participants will be encouraged to ask questions.
